M1943 Folding E-Tool Cover

Introduced as a replacement for earlier model, the M1943 E-Tool was copied from a German design as thought to be more practical than the previous shovel type entrenching tool.  Our reproduction cover is based on the first pattern introduced around about D-Day and thereafter, this cover has the fixed type double hook which was only done on early production covers.  The item is leather lined and reinforced with the correct type of rivets and is manufactured in O.D.9 for the body and O.D.7 for the webbing and edging.  All early production was made in this transitional colour scheme.
