M1943 Bladder Canteen 2nd Pattern

Due to shortcomings in earlier production canteen covers a modified version was standardised in 1944, changes to the position of the securing eyelet was altered to be higher up with a separate eyelet front and back.  All eyelets are fitted the reverse way round with the securing washers on the exterior of the cover, this was done due to the fact on early production covers the rolled edge of the eyelets were cutting into the latex bladder.  Our reproduction follows the later production models being in O.D.7 with reversed eyelets, this item also features the special hook attachment system which is unique to the bladder canteen covers.
