 503rd P.I.R 5 x M1 Rifle/Carbine  (Riggers Field Made)

This is our reproduction of the field made pouch pouches as produce by the parachute Riggers who were attached to element of the 503 Rd parachute infantry Regiment, these were made in the field using locally sourced materials including some made in white canvas , these pouches were of a very distinctive design, as the rifle clips or magazines are stored face to face instead of side to side, thus this reduces the width of the over all pouch however doe make it a little wider front to back. These pouches were normally used with an m1936 pistol belt and combat suspenders, most troop carry two. From research I’ve done these first appeared mid way through the war and were used right up until the end of hostilities.

 551st P.I.R 5 x M1 Rifle/Carbine (Riggers Field Made)

This is our reproduction of the field made pouch pouches as produce by the parachute Riggers who were attached to element of the 551st, these were made in the field using locally sourced materials including some made in white canvas , these pouches were of a very distinctive design, as the rifle clips or magazines are stored face to face instead of side to side, thus this reduces the width of the over all pouch however doe make it a little wider front to back. These pouches were normally used with an m1936 pistol belt and combat suspenders, most troop carry two. These appear before the 503Rd type shown above, and thus these are in a lighter coloured fabric, I suspect that ether someone from the 503Rd sore these and then produced there version or was indeed transferred to area where the 551st were operating and got to here about the design that way, again these were used right up until the end of WWII.
